Strand Rugby Club is a true community club based in the heart of Strand, with deep roots running through the Helderberg. For 90 years, rugby has been part of Strand's story — a fortress for talent that's produced players who've gone on to represent Western Province, the Stormers and the Springboks.
From club legends like Turkey Shields to modern stars like Damian Willemse — who grew up two streets from our field, watching his dad play for Strand — our blue jersey has always carried pride.
But Strand Rugby is more than 80 minutes on the field. When you put on the blue, you don't just join a team, you join a family — a brotherhood built on decades of hard work, respect and community, on and off the pitch.
